Friends, from childhood to old age, dogs, pigeons, and bullocks have lived with us — they are part of our families.
Today, here — not just to make noise, but to protect our traditions, our heritage, and our identity.
PETA India! You claim we abuse animals? We are the very people who feed pigeons on rooftops, treat greyhounds as family members, and share our meals with bullocks, considering them part of our household. We’ve grown up playing with them — this is our lifestyle! Our daily bread, our livelihood, our identity — it’s all deeply connected to these traditional sports!
The heartbeat of our villages — are bull races. Our soul — lies in greyhound racing. Our pride — soars in pigeon flying competitions.
But PETA India wants to shut all this down — by putting false allegations, eating off foreign funding, and turning our passions into crimes. And sadly, their partners are a few corrupt and cowardly officials… and the government that silently supports them.
The government sits in silence. If PETA applies pressure, the police rush in and stop our games. Is this democracy? Is this the voice of the people of Punjab?
We ask the government: Where will you find the same passion in Punjabi youth again? How many families will you feed if these games are stopped?
We don’t stand for violence — We raise our voices only for our rights. And we say with pride: These are our games! This is our identity! This is our life!
If these games are stopped — It will be the murder of our heritage.
PETA, listen carefully – You cannot scare us. We will not sell our traditions for your money. We are passionate lovers of our village sports — And we will never abandon them out of fear!

ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਮੂਲੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਰਵਾਇਤਾਂ, ਸਾਡੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ, ਸਾਡੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ।
ਪੈਟਾ ਇੰਡੀਆ! ਤੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ? ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਬੂਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਚੋਗਾ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਗਰੇਹਾਊਂਡ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇ ਬਲਦ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਵਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡਾ ਬਚਪਨ,ਜਵਾਨੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡ ਕੇ ਪਲੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੀ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ, ਸਾਡਾ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ, ਸਾਡੀ ਪਛਾਣ – ਇਹ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਨੇ!
ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੜਕਨ ਨੇ – ਬਲਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੌੜ। ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੇ – ਗਰੇਹਾਊਂਡ ਦੀਆਂ ਰੇਸਾਂ। ਸਾਡੀ ਉਡਾਣ ਨੇ – ਕਬੂਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ।
ਪਰ ਪੈਟਾ ਇੰਡੀਆ, ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਝੂਠੇ ਇਲਜ਼ਾਮ ਲਾ ਕੇ, ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾ ਕੇ, ਸਾਡੇ ਸ਼ੌਂਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਥ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਕਾਊ ਤੇ ਡਰਪੋਕ ਅਧੀਕਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ
ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਕਿਤੇ ਪੈਟਾ ਦਬਾਅ ਪਾਏ, ਤਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੌੜ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ? ਕੀ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼?
ਅਸੀਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਹਾਂ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਲਿਆਉਣੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦੀ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇਵੋਗੇ ਜਦ ਇਹ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ?
ਸਾਡਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਨਹੀਂ – ਸਾਡਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਕ ਲਈ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਚੁੱਕਣਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਮਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ – ਇਹ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੇ! ਇਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਨੇ! ਇਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੇ!
ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਈਆਂ – ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਪੈਟਾ ਸੁਣ ਲੈ – ਸਾਨੂੰ ਡਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਕੋਈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਵਿਰਾਸਤੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਚਾਂਗੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਸ਼ਕ ਹਾਂ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਛੱਡਾਂਗੇ।
ਇਕ ਨਾਅਰਾ ਲਾਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ – ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ – ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਣ! ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ – ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਨ!
